What is the maximum capacity that you can cater for?


As we are a mobile events company too, we own lots of marquees so we have the ability to offer a bespoke service that meets your exact requirements. The maximum capacity for the main marquee is 150-180 seated guests however we can cater for up to 320 seated guests by adding smaller marquees to the main marquee. Please bear in mind that our car park can only hold up to 65 cars, so a coach service will be required for your guests if you have large numbers. Don’t worry though as we have space for coaches to park and turn round! And we will be happy to help book the coach service for you.

Can we have a bespoke marquee arrangement?


Our main marquee has a large flexible space that can be sectioned to create break off areas. One of the added advantages of having your event at Crown Hall Farm is that we own lots of marquees and we can offer a wide variety of arrangements to suit your requirements by adding smaller marquees to the main marquee or having seperate smaller marquees nearby. Therefore, we can create areas within the overall space which might be used for children’s play areas or a chill out zone or a separate area for the bar. Our friendly experienced team will guide you through all the options.


What are the catering options?


We have a range of catering companies that we work with who provide a variety of styles including, full sit down meals, part seated buffets, hog roasts, afternoon tea, BBQs, fish and chips, paella, pizza and more. Please let us know your preference and we will put you in touch with the catering team.
Should you wish to use your own caterers, they will need to have £5 million public liability insurance and also a 5 star food hygiene certificate. Use of your own caterer will incur a service charge to Crown Hall Farm.


Can we have fireworks during our event?


As we are positioned next to an equestrian centre, we cannot allow fireworks. We will consider a silent fireworks display but please note that the use of sky lanterns or similar are strictly forbidden.

Is it possible to see the venue before I book?


Yes, you are very welcome to book a visit to our venue. Please send us a request indicating your preferred times for a visit and we will propose some dates.

 

Can I see the venue with all the lights switched on?

Yes, ask us to schedule your visit in the evening, when the internal lights and lights in the grounds will be visible. 

 
Is there accommodation onsite for me and my guests?   


Crown Hall Farm does not offer overnight accommodation at the moment, but we plan to add this service soon. In the meantime, we have a list of accommodation options nearby. Ask us and we will send you the information.

Can I leave my car in the car park overnight?


Yes, cars can be left in the Crown Hall Farm car park overnight, but must be collected by 10am the next morning at the very latest.


Is Crown Hall Farm wheelchair accessible? 


Yes, we have two disabled parking spaces and disabled toilet facilities. The paths to the marquee are suitable for wheelchairs and the marquee floor is flat.


Do you have baby changing facilities? 


Yes, the toilets include a baby changing area. 

Do you accept bank cards at the bar? 


Yes, we accept cards at the main bar, but not at the boat bar.


Do you allow confetti?  


Confetti in the form of real dried flower petals is allowed near the boat house/ceremony space but not in the form of party poppers, rice or paper. Guests are asked to keep all confetti away from the lake as this may farm the fish and other wildlife. Bubbles are preferred and encouraged!


Can you recommend a local taxi company?


Yes, phone numbers of local companies are available on request. 

 

 

Wedding FAQs


Can we have a civil ceremony at Crown Hall Farm?


At the moment we do not have a licence for civil ceremonies, but it is something we are working on. Please check with us whether we are likely to be able to offer you this service on your date. 

Can we supply our own wine and drinks for our wedding?


Only drinks purchased at Crown hall Farm are allowed to be consumed at the farm. We offer you drinks packages that can be tailored to your taste.

Are we allowed to have candles?


Only LED candles are allowed.

Do you have a room for the bride to use to get ready?


Unfortunately at the moment we do not have the facilities to offer a specific rest room for the bride.

Who will be present from Crown Hall Farm on our wedding day?


Your wedding coordinator will be present along with the waiting staff. The number of waiting staff will depend on your wedding day requirements.

 

Can we organise our own DJ or entertainment?


Our standard venue hire fee includes a DJ. However if you wish to use your own entertainment, please speak to your wedding coordinator about this.

 

Can we have access to the venue on the day before our event?

We understand that some couples like to dress their marquee themselves, on the day before the wedding. We aim to make this possible for everyone who makes the request. It does depend on how busy we are. During the peak season the spare time between successive events is short. Talk to us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
