Viewings:

Absolutely! Book a visit during our weekly viewings on Tuesdays. We also have selected Saturdays throughout the year where we host an Open Day. Individual appointments are also available. Click here book a viewing.

What happens at a viewing?

We will show you round the venue and any area you may use on your day. We will then sit down with you and discuss the options and ideas you may have. The next day, we will send you a bespoke quote (or quotes!) based on the discussion for you to review and get back to us. We will happily send as many quotes as you need to get the perfect package for you.

Can I bring my family and friends to viewings?

Of course! Feel free to bring friends and family on any visit. Picking your venue is an important decision so we understand getting other opinions is a great way to help you.

Wedding-Specific

Can we have a civil ceremony at Crown Hall Farm?

Yes, Crown Hall Farm is licensed for civil ceremonies, offering picturesque locations for your vows.

What if it rains?

We are licensed to hold ceremonies both outside at our rustic boat house and inside the marquee. On the day, if the weather doesn’t look favourable, we will prepare both locations for your ceremony. When the registrar arrives, they have final say on where the ceremony must take place.

Do we have exclusive use of the venue for our wedding day?

Yes, Crown Hall Farm is an exclusive wedding venue. Our grounds, car park, and marquee will be entirely yours for the duration of your wedding.

Who will be present from Crown Hall Farm on our wedding day?

Other than you and your guests, we will staff the bar and you will be supported by one of our wedding coordinators to ensure your day runs smoothly.

Should I get wedding insurance?

We strongly encourage all couples to get wedding insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.

How do I secure my wedding day?

To secure your wedding date, we ask for a "save-the-date" deposit of £1,200 (inc. VAT), you must also sign our Terms & Conditions document, and sign your contract. Your date will not be secure until these three things are complete.

Is the ceremony price included?

As some couples may choose not to get married on-site, and just host their wedding reception with us, we do not include a ceremony price with our venue hire fee.

If you choose to have your ceremony on-site we will add on a fee which allows for us to prepare the ceremony areas.

Do I need to book the registrar or celebrant?

Yes, this is up to you to book. As we are in the county of Lincolnshire, this is through Lincolnshire County Council. If you need further information please get in touch.

Décor

Are there any restrictions with décor?

We ask you to not hang anything from the sides or ceiling of the marquee due to restricted weight limits, and please avoid fixing anything in place with something that might cause permanent damage. If you’re not sure, please get in touch. Other than that, you can decorate as you like!

Do you allow confetti?

Dried flower petals are allowed near the boat house/ceremony space, but not in the form of non-biodegradable confetti like party poppers, rice, or paper. Guests are asked to keep all confetti away from the lake as this may harm the fish and other wildlife. Bubbles are preferred.

Are we allowed to have candles?
We only allow LED candles inside the marquee due to health and safety fire regulations.

Can I access the venue the day before to set up?

Standard hire allows access from 10 am on the day of your wedding. Access the day before depends on availability and can be confirmed four weeks before your wedding day.

If you are booking the venue for a private or corporate event, additional time for set up must be requested and will be charged.

During the peak season the spare time between successive events is short. Talk to us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Do you provide napkins?

We do not provide napkins as these typically tie into your décor colour scheme. Please arrange napkins for both daytime and evening food if required.

Entertainment

Can we have fireworks or sky lanterns during our event?

Fireworks are not allowed due to our proximity to an equestrian centre and a main road. Sky lanterns are also strictly forbidden.

Can I organise my own DJ or entertainment?

Our standard venue hire fee includes a DJ and evening disco. However, if you prefer your own entertainment, please discuss it with your wedding coordinator.

Do you allow bands?

Yes we do. They must play through our speaker system and discuss with us before the event. Electric drum kits only.

We don’t know where to find entertainment and activities, can you help?

Of course! Crown Hall Farm is owned by a family who, via their established events company, have been helping couples plan their wedding entertainment for nearly 20 years. If you want a fun and stress-free day that goes without a hitch, then you have come to the right place.

If you have any questions that are not covered above, please get in touch with our friendly team.
